Build Day #3

FreeToday will also be focused on working on Pallet Fort, and cleaning up that area. So the plan for today is:

- Busting pallets (Bear will do this)
- Screwing slats to the framing (this needs to be done before opening day)
- Cleaning up all the trash, broken wood pieces, anything that could cause tetanus, etc. (Good job for Monkey and River if they show up)
- Building better tire walls on either side of the OP Wall
Move the roofing metal to Outpost Omar.(Done!)- All wood scrap will be moved to the fire pit in front of the house and neatly stacked

Remember, gang, the Pallet Fort and field are the very first things that people see upon entering the “hot zone” on the field… we want this shit to look nice.
What you can bring:

- Cordless drill/impact driver with a T25 torx head (multiple if you break them as often as I do), and as many extra batteries that you have, as well as your battery charger.
- Crowbar and/or cat’s claw, if you have them.
- Usual construction tools like hammers, saws, whatever you think might be beneficial.
- We will have a “charging station” set up at the house… basically an industrial power strip that people can plug their chargers into.

The field is drying pretty quickly… we’ve been working in our sneakers. We’ll do up a 5-gallon water jug, but please think to bring a bottle of water with you that you can continue to top off during the day.

- Students: yes, I will email your advisor and tell them that you did your work thing.
- Reminder: a day of work earns you a day of play (you still need to pay rental fees as applicable).
- We will feed you, but after the work is done.
