Field Rental for Private Games

We’ve had a number of people ask about renting out the field to run private games.  It’s past time to put it all down in writing.

Field Availability

SAASMaine is open every year from Memorial Day Weekend to deer season.  Early season will be wet and muddy, mid season will be hot and a little drier, and historically, late season will be wet and muddy again.

As a rule, the field is not available on Sundays because that is our public play day.  You’re more than welcome to come see what a typical game day is like, though!

We do have non-public games on Saturdays (usually the first and third Saturdays of the month).  The games we schedule cannot be moved to accommodate you, sorry.

Yes, we can do weekdays!  Give your crew the day off.  They make you money and deserve it!  And a raise.  And pay them for the day.  Be that awesome boss.

What to Wear

• Comfortable clothes that you don’t mind getting really dirty/muddy.  Long sleeves help, but sometimes it’s just too darn hot for long sleeves.
• BOOTS.  Absolutely no open-toed shoes (sandals, Crocs, etc.) will be permitted on the field.
• Muted colors are the best (especially greens and browns).  Your favorite bright pink hoodie is awesome, but you’re not exactly going to blend in.
• Civilian camo (Mossy Oak, RealTree, etc) is more than okay.
• ATACS-FG and Multiglam are amazing for concealment at SAASMaine.  Most of the softwood was harvested a number of years ago, so we have a delightful hardwood haven going in.
• Do not wear anything red or orange.

What to Bring

• While we provide water on the field, we do highly recommend you bring a filled canteen or water bottle with you – you can top it off at the drink coolers, which will be near or at your respective respawn areas.
• Bring some snacks.  Airsoft burns up a lot of calories and sugar.  Be mindful of what your body needs to stay moving.
• PMA – Positive Mental Attitude.  No, you’re not going to be Rambo and the Biggest Badass of all Badassdom.  You’re not here to hurt people on purpose.  You’re here to have fun, just like everyone else.

What NOT to Bring

• Real weapons, to include knives and guns.  Don’t wear your Hi-Point Sparkle “just for show”.  You’ll be asked to leave it in your vehicle.  No, we don’t care if it’s unloaded.  No, we don’t care that we’re 𝗶𝗡𝗳𝗿𝗜𝗻𝗚𝗜𝗻𝗚 𝗢𝗡 𝗺𝘂𝗛 𝗿𝗶𝗚𝗛𝘁𝗦.
• Homemade pyro, fireworks, grenades, smoke bombs, whatever.  If it’s homemade, we do not allow it, period.  If it requires an outside flame source (lighter, matches, etc.) to make it go, we don’t allow it.  If you absolutely need smoke and/or grenades, we highly recommend Army Barracks.  Even if you can’t make it to their store in Scarborough, we find their shipping rates and costs very reasonable.
• Religion, politics, or bigotry.  There are people in every demographic who enjoys airsoft.  “Cringe” is not cool.  Toxicity will get you kicked out of the field.  If you are asked to leave, there will be no refund given.

Private Airsoft Games

Airsoft is a fun competitive game that really encourages team-building and camaraderie.  Not only does it build strength of character, but running around the woods and breathing fresh air for a few hours is good for both the body and mind.

Our pricing includes rental gear for everyone, as well as instruction on how to use the replicas.  No matter what, SAASMaine Basic Values and Rules will *always* apply.

Who Can Play Airsoft?

Absolutely anyone who wants to play can play.  It doesn’t matter if you’re young or old, skinny or fat, gay or straight, black or white, female or male or “enby”… seriously.  There is enough room in airsoft for everyone, and we pride ourselves on having a fantastic place for everyone to come play.

We can comfortably host 12 people at a time (we have 12 rental units).  Anything more, and we can either do some smaller team tournament play, or supplement with personal AEGs.  We do recommend you bring an even number of people with you, especially during the week to keep teams even.  We can try to supplement an additional player or two to even up the teams, but that may be difficult on a weekday since our volunteers all have school or day jobs.

As always, we will feed all the players, usually burgers and dogs.  If anyone has other dietary needs, please let us know beforehand.

We are more than happy to work with organizers, within the limits of our schedule and rules.  Just reach out.. we don’t bite.  Much.

Paintball and Nerf

Please note: we do not have rental equipment or supplies at this time for paintball and Nerf.  However, we do have the facility to host these events, and will act as moderator/marshal.
